Colleagues – The Soil Ecology Society is pleased to announce its 2015 meeting to be held at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort, Colorado Springs, CO,
June 09-12. All attendees are invited to submit abstracts of papers they intend to present as either posters or oral presentations. Abstracts will also be considered for 2-3 hour intensive workshops. All abstracts must be received on or before the deadline of Friday April 24 2015. Please see the attached file for details about abstract submission and student travel awards. The meeting is a great venue for soil ecologists to gather and interact in a fun, informal and exciting atmosphere. The meeting has always been especially valuable for students at all career stages, offering both travel and presentation awards and the opportunity to connect with more senior soil ecologists from a wide array of sub disciplines. Come join us for great presentations, workshops, discussions, and revelry centered around soil ecology. Please prepare your abstract exactly as in the example below. Save the abstract as a word document (.doc or .docx) and send it via e-mail to Scott Greenwood ([email protected]). Please do the following when submitting: 1. Abstracts should be less than 300 words, and include Title, Authors, and Author Affiliations. 2. Note whether the abstract is for an oral or poster presentation or workshop. 3. Note whether it will be judged as a student presentation. 4. Student Travel Awards Students presenting papers at the Soil Ecology Society meeting are eligible to apply for a Parkinson travel grant. These grants are typically in the range of $450. The application should include the following: 1. Abstract for the meeting 2. A letter of support from the advisor 3. Statement of research and career interest 4. Travel budget 5. Participants are expected to stay at the Cheyenne Mountain Resort, although an offsite registration option will exist for unique situations.
