Syracuse University: The Fridley Lab at Syracuse University is seeking a highly motivated undergraduate student interested in gaining research experience in field ecology as part of a research team investigating forest development across the Eastern U.S. Activities will depend in part on the interests of the student but could involve tree seedling surveys, light measurements, root growth monitoring, and other measurements of tree performance (carbon storage, nutrition). The student will be provided with a $2000/month stipend for living expenses over the 12-wk duration. Relevant field experience and ecology-related coursework is desirable but not required.
