I’m excited to announce a free National Research Council webinar for the release of a new educational booklet that explains why the Arctic’s rapidly changing environment matters to all of us.
Arctic Matters: The Global Connection to Changes in the Arctic draws on a large collection of peer-reviewed National Research Council reports to provide a brief, reader-friendly primer on the complex ways in which the changes currently affecting the Arctic and its diverse people, resources, and environment can, in turn, affect the entire globe. The webinar, which is on Friday, April 17 at 1:00 p.m. EDT, will feature a presentation and Q&A session with Arctic experts Julie Brigham-Grette of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, Stephanie Pfirman of Barnard College, and James White of the Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research, University of Colorado, Boulder. Please join us! Visit our website to read the booklet and register for the webinar: http://nas-sites.org/americasclimatechoices/events/webinar-arctic-matters-the-global-connection-to-changes-in-the-arctic/ I’d welcome your help in spreading the word!
