Hello, A new report from the National Research Council reviews an 11-year regional study that assesses the regional ecological effects of large-scale aquifer storage and recovery in the Florida Everglades.
The report finds that despite uncertainties about the ecological impacts of large-scale implementation of aquifer storage and recovery in the Everglades, it could be phased in to answer several scientific questions and provide some restoration benefits. The full report is now available for free PDF download, along with a report in brief (2 page lay summary): http://www.nap.edu/catalog/21724 Join us to learn more about the report at a free webinar on Wednesday, May 13 at 11 a.m. EDT, featuring a presentation and Q&A session with the chair of the report’s authoring committee James Saiers of Yale University and committee members William Hopkins of Virginia Tech, R.
