I hope most ecologgers have been enjoying time outside this weekend. If you've taken clear photos of biodiversity on your adventures, please share them as part of a global snapshot of biodiversity for National Geographic's Great Nature Project (www.greatnatureproject.org). Think of it like a global bioblitz. Check out where we've received observations so far ( http://greatnatureproject.org/events/global-snapshot-2015/map/). Can you help fill in the gaps?
The Great Nature Project is integrated with iNaturalist.org. Anything observed from Friday, May 15 through Monday, May 25 and uploaded to greatnatureproject.org or iNaturalist.org (or using their mobile app) will count. If for some reason you are trapped in front of your computer and can't get outside to make observations yourself, you can help other people identify what they saw by adding comments and IDs. iNaturalist.org has excellent tools for finding observations from places and taxa of interest. I hope you'll all find something to share since biodiversity is everywhere! ;-) Carrie P.S. If you'd like to help spread the word, we've got flyers and more on Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0BzV0qT0Q6H4leWQxTkc4bzkyT0k&usp=sharing ). --- Carrie E.
