Greenland: Summer 2015 Research Assistant
I am seeking a field research assistant to work in southwestern Greenland
from June 28-August 22, 2015. This is a project examining tundra plant
phenology as it relates to climate change. I am seeking a motivated,
positive, and independent student or recent graduate with previous field
research experience. Duties could include processing plant samples,
photographing plant roots using a minirhizotron camera, and entering data.
Living expenses and travel from Albany, NY to Kangerlussuaq, Greenland
will be covered, and an additional small stipend will be included. Travel
to/from Albany, NY will not be covered. You will be responsible for your
own camping equipment. The time will be spent camping with a small group
of researchers at a remote site on the tundra, so previous remote camping
experience is preferred.
