The annual Ecological Society of America meeting is busy and exciting, but it can be difficult for early career ecologists to find and make new professional contacts with more senior ecologists. To facilitate interactions, the Early Career Ecologist Section is organizing a meet- and-greet activity where professional ecologists purchase drink tickets for early career ecologists, to help everyone expand their network! Here’s how it works:
We're asking more senior professional ecologists to "pick up the tab" for early career drinks at the exhibit hall bar during the evening poster session (Monday-Thursday, 4:40-6:30 pm). Participating professionals will pre-purchase tickets for random distribution to early career participants at the ESA booth. Each ticket will have the sponsor's name and contact information on the back. Tickets will be available on a first-come first-served basis, at the Early Career Ecologists booth, limited to 1 per ECE section member. To redeem a ticket, the early career ecologist must find this sponsor at the ESA meeting, introduce themselves, and thank them for the drink!
