Second Notice

Colleagues,

Every year, the Vegetation Section of the Ecological Society of America
awards the Ton Damman Award to the best oral presentation by a graduate
student (or very recent graduate student) at the ESA meeting. The cash award
is $500.

Information about the award is given on the vegetation section website
(http://www.esa.org/vegetation2/?page_id=17). If you are a graduate student
or know of a graduate student who is interested, please pass this message on
to them.

There are two very important points I want to emphasize:

1) You *must* notify the Section secretary, Loretta Battaglia
([email protected]), by JULY 15TH, that you are applying.

2) To qualify, the talk must be about VEGETATION SCIENCE (aka PLANTS). Talks
that don't focus on plants will not be considered.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to contact me.

Regards,

James E Moore
Chair, Vegetation Section
