July 15, 2015. Survey on spouses/partners serving together on graduate committees, by William Lauenroth and Indy Burke.
We surveyed colleagues in ecology about whether their universities have a policy that limits or prohibits married couples or spouses from serving together on graduate committees. We received responses from 70 universities. Not a single response said that there were limitations by their university. One response said that a department, but not the home university, had such a limitation. 1. Ball State University 2. Bowling Green State University 3. California State University, North Ridge 4.
