What’s the time in your time zone?

Join HEAL for a webinar with two of the members of the World Health
Organization Europe’s Working Group on Health in Climate Change:Bettina
Menne, Programme Manager, Climate change, green health services and
sustainable development at WHO Europe, and Louise Newport, Scientific
Policy Manager at the UK Department of Health.

The health of Europeans is not spared from climate change. Action todaycan
improve the health of today‘s and tomorrow’s citizens. There are numerous
examples on what can be done by health professionals and services to tackle
climate change. The presenters will illustrate success stories in action
and share some best practice examples, as well as illustrate obstacles for
action on adaptation and mitigation in today’s world.

The WHO European region has been at the forefront of health and climate
developments for eighteen years. The Working Group on Health in Climate
Change, composed of representatives from the Ministries of Health and the
Environment of European Member States and agencies, has been a driver for
change, encouraging countries all over Europe to implement climate and
health policies and providing a forum for best practice exchanges between
countries.
