A postdoctoral associate position in Microbial Ecology is available in the Jones
Lab at the University of Notre Dame. We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic
Ph.D. with research experience in microbial ecology and/or bacterial genomics.
We expect applicants to have demonstrable experience in one or more of the
previously mentioned fields, including substantial publications in peer-reviewed

microbial ecology, but research activities could include laboratory studies
with a
diverse collection of environmental bacterial isolates, rapid evolution
experiments,
or field-based studies in terrestrial or aquatic ecosystems. Fieldwork
conducted at
the University of Notre Dame Environmental Research Center (UNDERC;
www.underc.nd.edu) would be encouraged.

The University of Notre Dame offers excellent facilities and resources including
