Hi fellow ECOLOG-L subscribers!

As the school year is beginning soon, my film Glacial Balance is on sale for academic and home video use. In addition, I'm once again booking dates for university visits to screen the film and do classroom visits/discussions. Trailers can be seen at glacialbalance.com.

Glacial Balance takes the viewer to meet locals along the Andes (through Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina), giving a narrative of climate change impacts on communities and on-site visits with scientists studying glaciers and hydrologic system. I shot the film hoping to communicate scientific concepts in understandable language, without narrators, through the words of Andeans and scientists themselves. Disciplines addressed include geography, the humanities, Latin American cultures, the scientific process and climate change.

University licenses cover use for classroom study, library inclusion, and an unlimited number of free on-campus screenings for students and faculty.

Please email me at [email protected] with any questions, to discuss sliding scale pricing, or to schedule a visit along with a screening/Q&A of the film.

Thanks,
Ethan Steinman
