Dear colleagues, The Entomological Society of Washington (ESW) is pleased to announce the Society’s Student Award competition. The recipient will be selected based on the highest quality, most impactful student-authored article published in Proceedings of the Entomological Society of Washington. The Proceedings is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes the results of entomological and acarological research in the areas of systematics, taxonomy, morphology, natural history, ecology, behavior, biodiversity, and conservation. The recipient will receive life membership in the ESW (currently valued at $600) and a $400 cash award. The recipient will also receive up to $800 to travel to Washington, DC to present at an Entomological Society of Washington meeting or up to $500 for travel to present at a meeting of his/her choice. The recipient will be reimbursed the cost of publishing his/her article in the Proceedings.
