The Swamp School’s September 15-17, 2015 Wetland Plant Workshop Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania Hello! We have space available in our workshop next week and would love to have you join us. The class is entirely a field workshop. Each day we will set out on the trail to identify different wetland habitats and their unique vegetative communities. The class will be led by a team of expert botanists who will show you the tips and tricks to quickly identify the plants that are in the area. We will also be recording the vegetation found on the US Army Corps of Engineers Regional Supplement Data forms and will review the "plant math" to determine if the habitat is a wetland plant community. This class is a great supplement to our week long wetland training series as well as a great review of the plants found in Pennsylvania. Whether you are an experienced wetland delineator or just getting started, this a perfect class to help you hone your wetland plant identification skills. Plus! All new for 2015 - Field Botany Sketching Workshop! We will be demonstrating and guiding you on how to sketch wetland plants to help you identify them in the field. Specialized sketch pads and drawing pencils will be provided. Even if you can't draw, this field technique will help you key out and recognize important diagnostic botanical identification features. Accommodations You have the option to stay with us or commute. Lunch is provided both days. Breakfast and dinner are also included if you stay with us at PEEC. Our two-night stay package includes 2 nights' accommodations and meals and includes our ever popular evening campfire.
