STREAM ECOLOGY The Department of Biological Sciences at Virginia Tech invites applications for the position of tenure-track Assistant Professor in the area of STREAM ECOLOGY starting in the Fall 2016 semester. We seek outstanding ecologists whose research will contribute to current strengths in stream ecosystems and freshwater biogeochemistry. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to share analytical laboratory facilities and to build collaborative research programs with current faculty members. Recent hires have contributed to Virginia Tech’s long-standing reputation as a center of excellence in aquatic ecology by developing strengths in limnology, the community ecology of freshwater ecosystems, microbial ecology, and terrestrial-aquatic interactions.
