Assistant Ecology Professor-Biological Sciences
The Department of Biological Sciences at Wellesley College invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of ASSISTANT PROFESSOR to start in July, 2016. We seek a broadly trained ecologist, and are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in ecosystems ecology who also demonstrate strong quantitative skills. Applicants should demonstrate a passion for teaching in a liberal arts setting and the ability to sustain a vibrant research program incorporating undergraduates that will be supported by start-up funds and other institutional resources. Responsibilities will include regular participation in the teaching of our introductory organismal biology curriculum and the development of an intermediate and an advanced course in the candidate's specialty. A Ph.D. and postdoctoral experience are required.
