Hi ECOLOG-Listers,

I'm currently conducting my MSc in Conservation Biology at the FitzPatrick
Institute/Univ. of Cape Town. I am unexpectedly and urgently in need of an
additional volunteer intern to join our research team on South Africa's
Garden Route to study impacts of tourism on breeding success of
White-fronted Plovers.

This is a short notice ad -- start date is from mid-November (that's in 6
weeks!), with the position lasting 3 months, through at least the first
week of February, with the option of extending based on personal
availability.

Duties involve lots of observational fieldwork on beautiful coastlines, and
other involvement with various facets of research (data management,
administrative tasks, outreach/science communication, etc.) We keep
accommodation and associated costs as low as possible; please contact me
for further details.

If interested, please send CV & short letter of motivation as soon as
possible to [email protected], as we need to hire quickly and are
scheduling interviews now. Do not hesitate to contact me if you have any
questions or need additional information on research topics & costs!

Kindest Regards,

--Selena Flores
