The Ecology & Evolutionary Biology graduate program at Rice University is cu
currently accepting applications.

The EEB graduate program is home to a vibrant community of faculty,
postdoctoral, graduate, and undergraduate scholars in ecology and
evolution. Our program has particular strengths in population and
community ecology, conservation biology, animal behavior, evolutionary
ecology, and evolutionary genetics and genomics.

The following faculty members are potentially accepting graduate students
into their lab for Fall 2016:

Amy Dunham ([email protected]): tropical ecology, conservation biology, ev
evolutionary ecology applied to conservation issues in tropical ra
rainforests. http://www.owlnet.rice.edu/~aed4/amydunham/

Scott Egan ([email protected]): evolution, speciation, population geneti
genetics and genomics, plant-insect interactions, conservation and invasi
invasions.

Volker Rudolf ([email protected]): Community, population, & evo
evolutionary ecology, climate change, biodiversity, host-pathogen dynamics.

Julia Saltz ([email protected]): Development and evolution of ind
individual differences in behavior, behavioral genetics, evolutionary fee
feedbacks, phenotypic plasticity, learning.

Yousif Shamoo ([email protected]): molecular evolution; experimental evo
evolution; drug resistance; adaptation; microbiology.

We offer highly competitive financial support and light teaching
requirements for graduate students. We are located in Houston, Texas, an
exciting city that is more culturally divers and affordable than any other majo
major city in the US, with world-class opportunities for dining, arts, and ente
entertainment and access to diverse terrestrial and aquatic environments. Rice
Rice is located beside one of the country’s largest medical research cent
centers, providing additional opportunities in bioinformatics and genomics.

Completed applications should be received by January 10 to ensure full co
consideration. There is no application fee for US citizens and permanent re
residents. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to contact po
potential faculty advisors before applying. Complete information about the EE
EEB graduate program, including application instructions, may be found at: ht
