The Graduate Program of Hydrologic Sciences at the University of Nevada, Reno and the Desert Research Institute seeks PhD candidates in hydrology and hydrogeology to fill graduate teaching and research assistant positions beginning in Fall 2016. Three year research fellowships are available for a wide range of topics, including effects of halophytic plants on soil quality; climate patterns and tree rings; groundwater residence times and aquatic ecology of springs; snow ecohydrology; and Nevada water resources.
