AIBS has just released the application for the 2016 Emerging Public Policy Leadership Award. The award recognizes graduate students in the biological sciences who have demonstrated initiative and leadership in science policy.

Award recipients receive an expense-paid trip to Washington, DC to meet with policymakers about federal support for the biological sciences. The program includes a day of policy and communications training and the opportunity to network with other scientists.

Past award winners have cited their participation in the program as fundamental in shaping their career trajectory.
