DESCRIPTION The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of California, Davis, invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Water Resources Engineering. Requirements include a doctoral degree in engineering or a related field and demonstrated success or potential for success in research and teaching.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop a significant independent research program in any area related to water flow in the environment and in engineering systems. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to, subsurface flow and pollutant transport, ecohydrology, hydrologic applications of data science and remote sensing, sediment transport, resilient and sustainable water infrastructure, and computational/experimental environmental fluid mechanics. The candidate's teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and graduate courses and mentoring within the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
