I am currently recruiting graduate students to study tropical savanna-forest dynamics and/or plant functional ecology. A student interested in savanna-forest dynamics would participate in an NSF-funded experiment in Brazil aimed at understanding how fire controls the distribution of tropical biomes. However, I am also recruiting students interested in working in temperate ecosystems on topics of plant functional ecology or physiological ecology. Interested students should contact Bill Hoffmann ([email protected]) before applying. For full consideration apply by January 15, 2016 to the Plant Biology Graduate Program at North Carolina State University: (https://pmb.cals.ncsu.edu/academics/plant-biology-graduate-program/).
