Dear colleagues, We are excited to announce that the 2016 Midwest Ecology and Evolution Conference (MEEC) will be held March 19-20, 2016 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
MEEC is a unique conference organized and operated by graduate students at a different Midwestern university each year. This conference is graduate and undergraduate student-focused, providing opportunities to interact with and learn from colleagues in a professional environment. Along with oral and poster sessions, MEEC will include professional development panel sessions and tours of nearby natural areas and research facilities. We are also looking forward to plenary talks by Dr. Tia-Lynn Ashman (University of Pittsburgh) and Dr. Catherine Searle (Purdue University). Abstract submission and registration will be from February 1-29, 2016. Additionally, the MEEC committee is working to compile a list of previous MEECs and their locations. If you have attended MEEC in the past, please contact the committee with the year and location of the conference (email address below). We are especially trying to fill in conferences in the 1980s and 1990s. Our website includes a list of the dates and locations we have found so far (https://meec2016.wordpress.com/general-information/). We hope that you can join us for MEEC 2016! Please check our website ( https://meec2016.wordpress.com/) or Facebook page ( https://www.facebook.com/MEEC.conference/) for more information. Questions can be directed to the planning committee [email protected]. Best, MEEC 2016 Committee
