I’m looking for a method to measure carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorous in dry animal tissue from the same small sample (0.1 - 0.6 mg dry weight range). We’ve used a standard CN analyzer and a separate digestion process for getting at P, but I need measure of % from all three elements from the same sample. I’ve looked into using Near Infrared Spectrometry but there seems to be some issues mentioned in the literature with getting good P predictions.
