St. Edward’s University seeks a highly motivated, accomplished, and collaborative leader to serve as the next Director of the Wild Basin Creative Research Center (WBCRC), beginning 1 July 2016. Reporting to the Dean of the School of Natural Sciences, the Director's primary responsibilities include development and implementation of a strategic plan that raises the profile of WBCRC as both a research and educational field station; staff development and supervision; and financial management. The Director plays active and supporting roles in public relations, grant writing, educational program development, interdisciplinary projects, and fundraising. The Director works with the Wild Basin Academic Council to integrate WBCRC functions into the larger University community; partners with officials at Travis County and the City of Austin in management of the contiguous resources at Wild Basin; and serves as a community liaison. The Director receives a faculty appointment at the Associate or full Professor rank, commensurate with experience, in the appropriate academic department at SEU.
