I'm interested in suggestions for brand/type/comments on sediment particle size counters. I plan to collect lake sediment cores and expect the particles to range from .5 to 150 microns. So far the units/brands I've found referenced in the literature were produced by Malvern, Brinkmann, Sedigraph, and Beckman-Coulter to name a few.
Without much consistency, I'm hoping to receive suggestions if you've had good (or even bad) experience with a particular brand/type. Information on cost would also be greatly appreciated.
