If you are interested in developing and testing ecological theory in aquatic
ecosystems, you should be
sure to submit an abstract for the ASLO Summer Meeting and our session (SS35).

Aquatic ecosystems have played and continue to play a central role in the
development and testing of
ecological theory. This session will highlight ongoing work in aquatic ecology
that is expanding our
theoretical understanding in diverse sub-disciplines of ecology from disease
ecology to
biogeochemistry and ecosystem ecology. A focus on emerging areas of ecological
theory will
emphasize the importance of aquatic ecology for theory, encourage synergism
between sub-fields of
aquatic ecology, and draw attention to fruitful areas for future
experimentation for early career
scientists.

The deadline for abstract submission is this Tuesday, February 2nd! More
information can be found
here: http://www.sgmeet.com/aslo/santafe2016/default.asp
