Dear Colleagues,

If you are attending the Ocean Sciences Meeting in New Orleans next week, there
is still time to sign up for this interdisciplinary lunchtime forum on Monday,
Feb. 22.

Physical Samples in the Ocean Sciences - a Forum
2016 Ocean Sciences Meeting, New Orleans, Louisiana
Ernest N. Morial Convention Center Room 201-202
Monday February 22nd, 12:30-2:00 pm
Lunch provided - Register at http://goo.gl/forms/fW4A06mUNm

This discussion forum will provide an opportunity to learn about some of the
groups working collaboratively on solving issues surrounding physical samples,
how they support digital and physical sample management, options for sample
citation in publications, links to related content such as field expeditions,
datasets, and ORCIDs for investigators, and for you to tell us about YOUR
challenges with your sample collections, their curation, documentation, and
preservation, your issues with ephemeral samples, and how you want to access
and visualize data related to physical samples. The forum will also be an
opportunity to check out existing tools that can help you manage your samples.
