I am seeking two graduate students (MS or PhD) to join my research group ( www.jamiesonlab.com) in the Department of Biological Sciences at Oakland University (www.oakland.edu/biology). A competitive stipend and tuition waiver will be provided to qualified candidates. The university campus is located in southeast Michigan in the greater Detroit metropolitan area, between the communities of Rochester Hills and Auburn Hills.
Students may choose to work on a variety of projects involving plant and insect ecology. My research group is currently developing projects integrating restoration ecology, urban agriculture, and chemical ecology. This research aims to inform conservation and natural resource management efforts, while providing a better understanding of ecological interactions between plants and their insect pollinators and herbivores. In particular, our research focuses on studying plant-insect interactions within the context of environmental and land-use change. If you’re interested in learning more, please visit my webpage (www.jamiesonlab.com) and feel free to contact me for further information ([email protected]). Prospective students should provide a curriculum vitae and brief description of research interests. Priority deadline for admissions is March 1st, but late applications will be considered. __________________________ Mary A.
