The Institute for Natural Resources invites applications for a full-time
1.0 FTE, 12-month, Faculty Research Assistant position. Reappointment is at
the discretion of the Director.

The purpose of this position is to collect field information on status and
trends of vegetation on BLM lands across southeastern Oregon, to manage a 5
year rangelands inventory effort, and to provide assistance to the
INR-Portland Director on managing the overall ecology program at INR.

​Requires a MS in ecology or botany.
At least 1 year of experience sampling shrub steppe or western grasslands
vegetation. Knowledge of the ecology of the western U.S. required. Ability
to rapidly learn and remember plant names is critical.
Demonstrated ability to work with federal and state agency scientists and
land managers is essential.​
