Experience fisheries field work in Homer, Alaska. The Kachemak Bay
National Estuarine Research Reserve (KBNERR), located in beautiful,
Homer, Alaska, is looking for 2 volunteer interns to assist with
juvenile salmon ecology research projects. Selected interns will be
part of a team doing cutting edge research on watershed ecology and
landscape linkages to fish productivity. Interns will learn juvenile
salmon capture techniques in streams and estuaries, fish handling,
measurement, data recording and fisheries conservation policies.
Housing, plus a $200/week stipend will be provided. Internships will
be for 4 weeks, beginning on, or around, June 6, and ending on, or
around July 11, 2016 (dates are somewhat flexible). For more
