The Silviculture and Applied Forest Health Lab at Northern Arizona University is hiring one full-time position at $15/hr for up to 19 weeks full time, to begin around May 1, 2016. This position will be based in Flagstaff, AZ and require extensive overnight travel to remove field sites in far northern Arizona (generally 8 days on, 6 days off). This position will provide support for a large NSF-funded project investigating southwestern white pine adaptive traits. Duties will include: managing the logistics of building raised bed planting boxes at remote field sites, assisting in seedling data collection and planting as needed, and serving broader project needs as they arise. Qualifications: BS in forestry, ecology or related field; experience with project management; valid US driver's license and clean driving record and 4WD/trailer hauling experience; field research experience. Experience in nursery operations and/or irrigation systems desired. Food will be provided while on work-related travel. Housing in Flagstaff is not provided.
