The Environmental Studies Program in the College of Liberal Studies at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is soliciting qualified candidates for the position of Associate Lecturer. This is a part-time (40%) academic year position beginning August 29, 2016. Teaching assignments will be made for one semester and can be renewed, depending upon program needs. Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary minor at the university, which includes courses in the humanities, social and natural sciences. Our minors include students from departments across the university. Duties of this position include teaching two courses a semester, including Introduction to Environmental Studies, Environmental Sustainability and/or Issues in Environmental Studies. Required Qualifications: By the start date, applicants must possess Master's degree (doctorate or other terminal degree preferred) in environmental studies or a related area (expertise in the area of the arts, humanities, social sciences or environmental sustainability preferred). Applicants must demonstrate a commitment to quality classroom instruction and prior teaching experience (college-level teaching experience is preferred). Position will remain open until filled; evaluation of completed applications will begin May 12, 2016.
