Research and Restoration Program Manager

Implements restoration research and demonstration projects in collaboration
with Tallgrass Prairie Center (TPC) staff and external partners;
participates in development and delivery of workshops and creates technical
materials for TPC programs and special projects; assists Director in
seeking external funding; develops management plans, designs seed mixes,
and installs or coordinates the installation of native vegetation sponsored
by external funds; coordinates vehicle and equipment maintenance and
acquisition for the TPC; and participates in other common activities of the
TPC. Master’s degree or equivalent in restoration ecology, natural resource
management, botany, agronomy or related field with a plant ecology emphasis
plus at least two years of program management experience and evidence of
effective professional collaboration and evidence of planting and
maintaining a prairie reconstruction required. Student experience will be
considered. Ability to obtain pesticide applicator certification, including
applicable categorical certifications within one year also required.  At
least one additional year of relevant research experience beyond the MS (or
equivalent); record of research/technical publication; and at least one
year of natural resource management or related experience preferred.
