Green infrastructure installation to date has focused on public, private, and commercial spaces. The Ecosystem Engineering Design Lab at the University of Maryland (UMD) is excited to announce a Green Infrastructure Research & Incentives Workshop at WaterShed, UMD’s 2011 winning sustainable home for the Solar Decathlon Competition. Part I is geared towards providing homeowners, regulators, practitioners and other stakeholders an overview of green infrastructure, and sharing research on the performance of WaterShed’s green roof, constructed wetlands and rain garden. Part II will showcase current incentives offered by local agencies with a panel discussion by green infrastructure experts.
