*Postdoctoral positions in phylogenetics and phylogeography of montane
passerine birds in China*

We invite applications for postdoctoral positions at the South China
Institute of Endangered Animals. We are seeking two internationally
competitive candidates with strong backgrounds in population genetics,
phylogenetics, molecular ecology, and breeding biology to study montane
passerines (especially babblers) in southern China. The candidates must
hold a Ph.D. and be skilled in the analytical methods of phylogeography
and phylogenetics. Good speaking and written skills, especially in
English, are required, and also the ability to work as part of a team.
Candidates with publication records in high-quality international
peer-reviewed journals will be given top consideration. Appointments
will last 2-3 years, starting in Autumn 2016 (timing is negotiable).
Salary is in accordance with similar positions at top Chinese
universities. In addition, there is an incentive bonus for high quality
research achievement.
