Instructor of Biology, Department of Biology

The Department of Biology at Ball State University invites applications for
a one year renewable contract faculty position, available August 20, 2016. 
The university offers an excellent benefits package, including health care

Major responsibilities:  Faculty member with broad base in biological
sciences, with focus on teaching introductory biology, ecology, zoology and
other courses for biology majors.  Contribute actively to the intellectual
and professional life of the Biology Department, the College of Sciences and
Humanities, Ball State University and the surrounding community.

Minimum qualifications:  Master’s Degree or higher in the biological
sciences or related field from an accredited college or university;
effective written and oral communication skills; commitment to excellence in
teaching.

Preferred qualifications:  Earned doctorate in the biological sciences from
an accredited college or university with a focus on animal ecology/zoology;
demonstrated teaching ability and/or evidence of scholarly activity.  
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in
the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
