Dear Colleagues, We encourage you to submit an abstract to the AGU session B046: Investigating biological processes: Insights from new stable isotope methods. We are very excited about bringing together scientists using stable isotopes from various fields. The Fall AGU 2016 meeting takes place from December 12-16 in San Francisco. Please see the meeting website https://fallmeeting.agu.org/2016/ for details about the meeting. Abstracts must be submitted here https://fallmeeting.agu.org/2016/abstract-submissions/ by August 3. B046: This session will bring together biogeochemists, ecologists, atmospheric scientists and paleoclimatologists using isotopologue, isotopomer or clumped isotope signatures of organic molecules to track biochemical and physiological processes in biotic (plants, microbes, and algae) and abiotic (soil, sediment, water, and aerosol) samples across different scales. We encourage people working with all techniques (MS-, NMR- or spectroscopy-based) to present methods and applications on biologically or biogeochemically interesting molecules. This session will offer an overview of what proxies are available and what information can be extracted from them. This session will also provide an opportunity for method and proxy developers to present their researches to scientists eager to use new tools to investigate biological processes such element allocations, plant responses to environmental changes, and ecosystem functioning, opening a dialogue that will enhance insight into the current and the next-generation of cutting-edge techniques to study the Earth system. https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm16/preliminaryview.cgi/Session12819
