The Ecosystem Science and Management Department at Texas A&M University 
seeks a Forest Biologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to 
compliment and expand on existing strengths in the Department. The 
successful candidate will demonstrate a vision for an internationally 
recognized Forest Biology research program. It is expected that this 
research will focus on the population, community, landscape, or ecosystem 
scale. Specific areas of emphasis may include, but are not limited to: 
silvicultural
silvicultural systems, disturbance ecology, forest community dynamics, or 
carbon cycle processes in the context of global environmental change. The 
incumbent will have a commitment to teaching, a strong desire to train 
graduate students, the ability to secure extramural funding and publish in 
top-tier journals in his or her field, and meet the expectations of a land 
grant institution. The successful candidate will teach a core undergraduate 
class in Silviculture and an additional course such as Forest Ecology, alon
along with a graduate course to be developed in consultation with coll
