Potential wear and tear on insect wings associated with weather events

Dear Colleagues:

I came across an image of an insect with what appears to be a clear bite
mark on the wings. As I was discussing the case with a colleague, we
wondered about published *evidence* of wear and tear on insect wings
associated with weather events (mild or strong, like storms). If you know
of something from the top of your head, please kindly point me on the
direction of authors or papers in the field.

My email is blayjo...@gmail.com

Gratefully,

Jorge
