LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER FOR THE CROSSROADS EVENT at Rutgers University, Cook Campus Sept 22-24.
Registration deadline is Tomorrow Sept15! Spaces are limited, so don’t miss out out on this meeting that links many fields together through the common deno denominator of urban plants. This international and interdisciplinary event is arranged at Rutgers by a te team of us that plan to build up global network a to work with research and ou outreach focused on urban plant evolution and biodiversity and education us using urban plants, etc. The symposium and workshop will be in the IFNH bu building on Cook Campus. September 22 – CROSSROADS IN THE CONCRETE JUNGLE – Experiences and Expl Explorations of Urban Plants and People (SYMPOSIUM) A packed symposium with four special keynote speakers (of which three are in international guests), and other invited presentations on urban plants and pe people interactions from ecologists, landscape architects, urban educators, an and others. There will also be a panel discussion, and a poster session an and reception (please submit poster abstract by Sept 15). Note: there is a $1 $150 award for best undergraduate and graduate student poster (see website fo for details). Symposium registration fee $25. Resear Researchers lead this trip to Liberty State Park and The Hackensack Water Works Works in Oradell and will showcase industrial history, land use change, plant plant biodiversity and ecology, and much more. Fee $40. We especially encour encourage students to sign up for the fieldtrip.
