Hello everyone,

Currently, I am a high school science teacher in Kunshan, China but I just
received a position back in the United States. The administration is
recruiting and I wanted to join in the effort so that we can get someone to
replace me as soon as possible. We have a Chinese New Year Break and the new
semester begins on February 6th until June 28th.

About the position: This is a private, American high school for 9th and 10th
grade. Students are Chinese but have varying levels of English proficiency.
This is the first year of the school, so subsequent years will have 11th and
12th graders. The school is small for this initial year; there is only one
class for each grade. The courses to be covered are biology, physical
science, and health. The curriculum is not as "strict" as a typical U.S.
K-12 school. We encourage to move at the students' pace since they are
learning in a second language. I have curriculum materials and there is lots
of support. The teacher is also responsible for overseeing a couple hours of
study hall.

Compensation: Around 15k for the spring semester. Nearly all expenses are
covered, such as housing and the school serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
The cost of living in China is incredibly inexpensive, so the expenses you
do have are very cheap. Your biggest expense is utilities, for example I
paid $88 for 3 months for all utilities. Visa expenses are reimbursed (and
you are walked through each step) and the flight is also reimbursed.
Contract can be extended for subsequent years.

About You: You must have a bachelor's degree in a field of science. At least
one year of teaching experience is necessary, preferably with ESL students
since they face different challenges than most students. Due to Chinese visa
requirements, there is an age cap at 60 years old.
