The Editor in Chief of Science published an "Editorial expression of
concern" in the 9 December issue of Science, announcing that the data
from the recently published paper "Environmentally relevant
concentrations of microplastic particles influence larval fish ecology"
are no longer available. The authors' computer on which the data were
stored was stolen, and there was no backup and the data had not been
deposited in an appropriate repository. Thus readers can not understand,
assess, reproduce, or extend the conclusions of the paper.
