Two graduate research assistantships (MS or PhD) are available in the School of Natural Resource Sciences at North Dakota State University. Students will be part of an inter-disciplinary team looking at various aspects of managing soil salinity with cover crops in a corn-soybean rotation. Soil salinity is a persistent problem in North Dakota and many agroecosystems, and we will evaluate cereal rye as a mitigation tool. Specifically, we will address how this management approach impacts the system’s plants, soil, and insects, and we want to add students with interest in one or more of these areas.
