The world's top biologist (arguably) in a new interview with Mongabay discusses his Half-Earth plan to save the world's biodiversity, excoriates 'Anthropocenists' (as he calls them) for giving up and advocating for 'new ecosystems' created by humans, but the bulk of his ire is aimed at de-extinction proponents, which he calls "the most foolish of all, if that’s possible." Tough critique. But he's mostly positive about things like human potential, faith, hope, even overpopulation:

We will publish excerpts of the audio recording on the next Mongabay Newscast <https://news.mongabay.com/list/podcast/> (our biweekly podcast) too.
