I am looking for field assistants to aid in an ongoing research project 
studying amphibian communities 
and the impact of Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis on population persistence in 
Costa Rica.  Work will be 
continuous from April until mid-June with the possibility of extension.  
Applicants must be available for 
at least 3 weeks during this period.  
Previous field work experience required. Prior experience with amphibians and 
tropical work preferred.  

Duties will include:
Assisting with mark-recapture of several species of frog
Amphibian community surveys
Collection of skin swabs for Bd analysis
Collection of genetic samples for later genetic analysis

Applicants must be prepared for work in physically demanding environments and 
be comfortable 
conducting nighttime surveys.  

Lodging, food, and transportation will be covered during field work.  Some 
financial assistance may be 
available for flights.
