A postdoctoral fellow position is available in the Fukami Lab at Stanford University (www.stanford.edu/~fukamit). The successful candidate will use nectar-inhabiting yeast and bacteria as a study system to ask broad questions about ecological and evolutionary community assembly. There will be opportunities to develop independent and collaborative research. Experience in one or more of the following fields is desirable: microbial metagenomics, chemical ecology, and pollination biology. Initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of extension for one or two additional years, contingent on performance. Start date is preferably June 2017, but flexible.
