Hello!!

I am reaching out to gauge interest in a temporary shellfish technician
position for the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians in Siletz, Oregon.

Anyone interested will need to email me at the email address found below, at
which time I can inform the person of our official application process
which is a bit more cumbersome than responding to an email and attaching a
resume.

*We are looking to fill a temporary position (Aquatic Projects Aide)
working for our shellfish monitoring and research program. We are looking
for someone who is a well organized self-starter with the ability to
communicate effectively, work well with others, as well as independently.
Ideally this position would go to someone with an excitement about marine
science and who is looking for field work experience in restoration,
research, and monitoring. Working conditions will include working from
boats in various Oregon estuaries, lifting heavy objects, sampling across
mudflats that are difficult to walk on, and working in cold inclement
weather. *

*The candidate should be available May through September, willing to work
odd hours, some 16 hour shifts, and be in good physical condition. Priority
will go to those with knowledge of the safe operation of motorized boats.*

If you, or anyone you know, might be interested, please have them contact
me, Laura Brown, at lbr...@ctsi.nsn.us
