The collaboration is initially focused at Acadia National Park in Maine, with plans to partner with national parks across the country over time.
Three research fellows have been named for 2017: - *Allyson Jackson*, a Ph.D. student in the Fisheries and Wildlife Department at Oregon State University <http://schoodicinstitute.us8.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=2da31bfd181368d1133cf5bd0&id=a7f2165e78&e=0b948dccbd> - *Alessio Mortelliti,* Assistant Professor in the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Conservation at the University of Maine <http://schoodicinstitute.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2da31bfd181368d1133cf5bd0&id=572fc4fd04&e=0b948dccbd> . - *Chris Nadeau*, a Ph.D. student in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department at the University of Connecticut <http://schoodicinstitute.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2da31bfd181368d1133cf5bd0&id=3aa6a12a5d&e=0b948dccbd>. In addition to research support and housing at Schoodic Institute, the Fellows will receive science communication training, and will contribute to development of resources to bring park science to classrooms across the country. Initial funding for the program was donated by David Evans Shaw, a Maine-based entrepreneur, AAAS treasurer and executive producer of the film “Second Century Stewardship: Science Beyond the Scenery in Acadia National Park.” <http://schoodicinstitute.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2da31bfd181368d1133cf5bd0&id=a6609f1e99&e=0b948dccbd> Please visit our website <http://schoodicinstitute.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2da31bfd181368d1133cf5bd0&id=1431b70e09&e=0b948dccbd> to learn more about Second Century Stewardship [image: Schoodic Institute at Acadia National Park logo] [image: Facebook] <http://schoodicinstitute.us8.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=2da31bfd181368d1133cf5bd0&id=981b4a5ca5&e=0b948dccbd> Facebook <http://schoodicinstitute.us8.list-manage1.com/track/click?u=2da31bfd181368d1133cf5bd0&id=eb1ea764d8&e=0b948dccbd> [image: Twitter] Twitter [image: Instagram] Instagram [image: Email] <[email protected]> Email <[email protected]> Copyright © 2015 Schoodic Institute, All rights reserved.
