The Department of Biological Sciences at USFSP seeks an Integrative Zoologist/Biologist for a one year visiting assistant professor position, starting Fall 2017. Preferred specialization is research involving terrestrial animals. Teaching responsibilities would include lower-level courses in Biology (major and/or non-major); elective courses that would contribute to our Biomedical Sciences and Ecology/Evolution concentrations (Biology program), or our Health Science program. Opportunity to teach or co-teach graduate courses in our Conservation Biology graduate program.
Minimum qualifications: Ph.D. in Biology/ Zoology or a related field and prior teaching experience at the university level. Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. in Biology/ Zoology or a related field, prior teaching experience at the university level, postdoctoral research experience, and experience mentoring undergraduate or graduate students. Research involving terrestrial animals. Salary: $46,000 for a 9 month appointment. Anticipated teaching load is ~4 courses/semester.
